Archaic Human Microfiber Towel Wrap/*T-Shirt | Hair clips | Hair scissors
Wet your hair with warm water until completely saturated.
Apply shampoo directly onto the scalp and massage the scalp using your fingertips in a circular motion. DO NOT SCRATCH WITH YOUR NAILS!
Begin to finger detangle by running your fingers through the hair separating the tangles as you go along from the roots to the tips of the hair.
Rinse out the shampoo and wrap your hair with a microfiber towel for about 5 minutes. DO NOT RUB THE HAIR TO GET THE WATER OUT! Let the towel do the work.
Remove the microfiber towel and divide the hair into 4 sections. Apply a generous amount of conditioner to each section and smooth into the hair using a downwards motion from the root to the tips, ensuring that the conditioner covers each and every strand. Once covered and detangled, 2-strand twist the hair to get it out of the way.
Once you’ve covered all 4 sections with conditioner, cover your head with a plastic cap/bag or wrap it with cling wrap, then put on a hat or head wrap. This process is called deep conditioning, which allows the heat from your head to open up your pores and hair shaft and allow the conditioner to easily enter the hair, giving your hair the moisture it needs. Let it sit for 15 minutes to an hour.
Rinse out the conditioner with **cold water while your hair is in the 4 twists and wrap it in a microfiber towel once more for 5 minutes, to absorb the excess water. We want to create room for some product to enter and keep your hair nourished.
Take 1 of the 4 sections and divide it in half. You are going to work on one-half (⅛th in total) at a time. Apply a small amount of hair cream, starting at your ends and work your way up to the roots. Once you’ve covered all the strands, apply a small amount of oil serum to seal in the moisture, again starting from the tips and working your way to the roots. Once you’re satisfied that you’ve covered all the strands, 2-strand twist the hair to get it out of the way. Repeat this on all 8 sections until your hair is moisturised and twisted.
Allow the hair to dry overnight and untwist it in the morning.
Voila! Wash day is done and dusted!

* A t-shirt is highly absorbent and smooth, so it doesn’t snag the hair. Towels have tiny loops that the hair strands get caught in, that is why t-shirts work better on kinky, curly hair.
** The cold water will close your hair shaft, trapping some the conditioner and leaving your hair feeling soft, shiny and moisturised.
Note: always keep a pair of hair scissors nearby to snip off the tangles that won’t come out, DO NOT JUST TEAR YOUR HAIR OFF! This will damage your strands and cause split ends.
